The quintessential rod designed by Tom and built by Gerri was the 2pc 8'6" 5wt graphite rod. The 865 was a go-to rod during Tom's guiding days because it combined the versatility of a 5wt and the shorter casting stroke found in 8'6" rods. Tom preferred the 8'6" length for accuracy and presentation while casting. Built on a clear blank with down locking hardware, a western cigar grip and a beautiful birds eye maple reel seat.
