Job Summary:

Tom Morgan Rodsmiths, a premium fly rod manufacturing company based in Bozeman, Montana, is seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Guide Wrapping and Rod Coating specialist. In this role, you will play a vital role in meticulously wrapping and coating guides onto our handcrafted fly rods, ensuring exceptional attention to detail and upholding our commitment to perfection. Responsibilities:

• Carefully wrap and coat guides onto fly rods, following established techniques and specifications.
• Ensure precise alignment, spacing, and tension of guides for optimal performance and aesthetics.
• Collaborate with the rod building team to ensure consistent quality and adherence to design standards.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the wrapping and coating process, identifying and addressing any imperfections or inconsistencies.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are properly cared for and readily available.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, techniques, and innovations.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes as guided by the company.

Requirements:

• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering perfection in craftsmanship.
• Ability to work with precision and patience to achieve consistent and high-quality guide wraps.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle delicate components.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A genuine enthusiasm for the fly fishing industry and an appreciation for the art of rod building.
• Prior experience in rod building is a plus, but not required.

This role is paid per rod wrapped and we do offer the flexibility of wrapping at home. Training is available at our shop location to ensure consistency and quality.
