To provide a little history on this unique wood/fill combo, please read below from Stonefly Nets: The wood came off a private ranch in Colorado and I estimate the age to be 700-1000+ years old. The fill while not rare it is uncommon to find it now days. Bluebird Azurite is well known in the cabochon world as one of the most beautiful stones to cut. It was available from the Bluebird Mine near Miami, AZ many years ago. The mine, years later was flooded and had to be abandoned. During the time it was mined for copper this incredible cutting stone came onto the market. It was received with great accolades. The combination of deep blue azurite, light blue chrysocolla and red cuprite is a pleasure to behold.
